Heathrow Airport, in London, recorded an incident in the Terminal 3 parking lot this Sunday (7) and had to mobilize emergency services to resolve the situation. The United Kingdom’s Metropolitan Police reported that several people were attacked with what they believe to be pepper spray by a group of men.
Officers went to the scene and arrested an assault suspect. He remains in custody and investigations continue to locate other suspects.
The injured were taken to hospitals. According to police, the injuries are not believed to be serious or life-threatening.
The case is not investigated as terrorism.
The UK rail service reported that the incident caused disruptions to travel, but that operations have now resumed. Officials warned that although lines have reopened, delays of up to 10 minutes and cancellations could still happen.
