An unusual form of protest began to take over airports in the United States. Travelers are going to their flights wearing pajamas, in retaliation for a recommendation from the US government.
Trump administration Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy urged holiday travelers to “dress respectfully.” According to the Washington Post, at a press conference, Duffy stated that people should at least wear jeans and a shirt. He advocates the return of the “Golden Age” of travel.
“I would like to encourage people to dress better, which makes maybe everyone behave better too,” he said. “Let’s try not to wear flip-flops and pajamas at airports.”

However, the recommendation was not well received. On social media, many people pointed out the flight delays, fares, lower-than-expected service and few advantages they have seen on recent trips and how the experience is anything but luxurious.
Since then, there are those who see the choice as an act of political resistance. The hashtag #pajamaresistance (pajama resistance, in free translation) has appeared more frequently on various social networks.
