Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs On Saturday, Radoslaw Sikorski reacted sharply to the proposals of the American billionaire Elon Musk, who previously proposed the dissolution of the EU on his social network X. The head of Polish diplomacy told Musk, to go to Mars, since Nazi salutes are not censored there. He was referring to Musk’s gesture with his right hand after the inauguration of US President Donald Trump, which seemed to resemble a Nazi salute. TASR informs about it according to the PAP agency.
- The Polish minister criticized Elon Musk’s proposals to dissolve the EU.
- The European Commission fined Musk’s X for transparency.
The European Commission (EC) fined Musk’s social network X on Friday 120 million euros for violating transparency rules. In response, Musk subsequently published several posts in which he criticized the EU for introducing censorship and called for its dissolution. “How long will it take for the EU to disappear? Abolish the EU,” Musk wrote in one of the posts.
“Go to Mars. They don’t censor Nazi salutes there.” replied to his post by Sikorski. PAP reminds that Musk’s company SpaceX is working to create a self-sufficient city on Mars, while it wants to use its Starship rockets to transport cargo and people.
Sikorski also shared the response of former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who supported Musk’s proposal to dissolve the EU. “If anyone is still in doubt who is served by all this talk of sovereignty directed against the EU. Those who want to profit from sowing hatred and those who want to conquer Europe,” he wrote.
The head of Polish diplomacy also described as a remarkable coincidence the contribution of the nationalist Russian ideologue Alexander Dugin, who called for an uprising in Europe and expressed support for Musk’s proposals. The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, made a similar statement. He wrote on X that the EU is trying to introduce censorship. The social network X and many others are banned in Russia.
