Simi Valley (California) – Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth is sticking to the US military’s controversial approach against suspected drug smugglers and is once again comparing it to the fight against the Islamist terrorist organization Al-Qaeda. “These narco-terrorists are the al-Qaeda of our hemisphere and we are hunting them with the same sophistication and precision with which we hunted al-Qaeda,” the US Secretary of Defense said at the Reagan National Defense Forum in Simi Valley, California.
