A mansion collapsed late this Monday morning (8), in the Catete neighborhood, in the south zone of leaving several people injured. According to the Fire Department, the collapse occurred on Rua Tavares Bastos, on the corner of Rua Bento Lisboa.
A team from the corporation has already rescued 16 residents, most with minor injuries. Firefighters are still working at the scene as there is a suspicion of a person under the rubble.

Firefighters work with the support of dogs and drones equipped with thermal cameras, essential to assist in localization.
The municipality’s Civil Defense is also in the area of the collapse to assess the structural damage to the building and the condition of neighboring buildings.
