Lublin – Austria’s medley relay team (4 x 50 m) narrowly missed out on precious metal at the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Lublin (Poland) on Sunday. Lukas Edl, Valentin Bayer, Simon Bucher and Heiko Gigler clocked in 1:31.85 minutes, only a hundredth of a second behind the third-placed Spaniards. The victory went to Italy in 1:30.49. Gigler had already finished seventh in the 50 m freestyle final.
