The minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, , is expected to participate in a hearing next Wednesday (10) on the reduction of working hours.
In addition to Boulos, the presidents of the CNI (National Confederation of Industry), the CNA (Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil) and the CNC (National Confederation of Commerce in Goods, Services and Tourism) were also invited to the seminar.
The objective of the meeting at the Finance and Taxation Commission is to discuss the reduction of working hours and the end of the 6×1 scale, two of the main flags of the Brazilian left, by the government (PT). Sworn into the ministry last month, Boulos has been one of the spokespersons for the proposal on the Executive side.
parliamentarians from the allied base and ministers expressed their rejection of the text currently being processed in the Chamber regarding the proposal.
The version presented reduces the weekly working hours to 40 hours but maintains the possibility for the employee to work six days a week, which goes against the government’s proposal to reduce the working hours to 5×2.
