Armed police have cordoned off Terminal 3 at London’s Heathrow Airport following a serious incident this morning in the station’s multi-storey car park.
According to the Metropolitan Police, a number of people were attacked with pepper spray and a man was arrested on suspicion.

The incident appears to involve a group of people who knew each other, with an altercation escalating and resulting in several injuries. The people’s injuries are not believed to be serious or life-threatening, and London Ambulance Service attended and took them to hospitals for care.

Police temporarily suspended services on the Elizabeth and Piccadilly lines while trains ran through the station non-stop. Terminal 3 now remains open, with an increased police presence and ongoing inquiries to identify any other people involved.
Police are urging bus drivers and passengers to stay in their vehicles and thank the public for their cooperation throughout the morning.

“Police are at Heathrow Airport investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack on several people which took place this morning. Officers were called at 08:11 to a multi-storey car park in Terminal 3 following reports of an assault on several people. Several people were sprayed with what is believed to be a form of pepper spray by a group of men, who then left the scene.”
