There is a form of luxury that doesn’t cost money: clutter that belongs only to you. I recently saw this at a friend’s house. She recently moved to the country with her husband to a larger apartment. Instead of a kitchen-living room and a bedroom, the two now have a kitchen-living room, a bedroom and each also have their own room. My friend told me that she can now simply leave her craft supplies on her desk, “and the next day it will be there exactly as I left it.”
