An 80-year-old woman lost her life in a traffic accident in the Nitra district of Janíkovcie. The traffic accident happened on Monday afternoon. According to information from the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Nitra a 41-year-old driver crashed into a pedestrian who was crossing the pedestrian crossing for reasons that have not yet been determined.
The pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the accident. The police subjected the driver to a breath test for alcohol with a negative result. The circumstances, the degree of fault and the exact cause of the accident are the subject of a police investigation.
