Luís Montenegro with Mette Frederiksen
The policy defended by your Government is “Danes first”. It seems like a magic formula that appeals to locals.
Luís Montenegro, October 2nd of this year, when he was in Copenhagen, capital of Denmark:
“That’s it Denmark the Government is a Government socialist and maybe the prime minister Mette Frederiksen has an even more vehement stance in the context of the need for regulation and containment of some migratory flows”, the Prime Minister of Portugal.
Some thought that Montenegro had got it wrong: Mette Frederiksen is from the Social Democratic Party. But the Social Democrats in Denmark are center-left. In Portugal they are center-right.
Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Denmark for six years, says no to immigration.
The issue is now highlighted by the French.
Frederiksen does not hesitate to defend his policy “Danes First”. Everything to preserve the “sacrosanct Scandinavian model”.
That is, a Left-wing government that implements an anti-immigration policy applauded by the right.
The measures are very restrictive, especially for those coming from “MENAPT” countries – the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan and Türkiye.
In other words: the Muslims have more difficulty entering Denmark.
This is because the so-called “sacrosanct Scandinavian model” is incompatible with mass immigration.
Translation: to function, the welfare state must be based on collective solidarity — something like a mutual aid society — where everyone contributes to financing the system.
But it’s more than that: everyone adheres to the same values.
What values? Gender equality, respect for LGBTQ+ rights and full freedom of expression (yes, the controversial caricatures of Muhammad were shown in Denmark – and then let’s save what followed).
Anyone who does not follow these values, and after strict control upon arrival, will not enter.
One “magic formula” which seems to be pleasing the locals.
L’Express describes a country where the inhabitants smile, where there is widespread optimism, widespread happiness. A feeling of well-being also prevails in the business environment.
