A few weeks ago, the city of Vienna increased the housing subsidy contribution – as the first federal state since this has been possible for the states. Instead of 0.5 percent of gross wages, 0.75 percent will be withheld from next year, on both sides, from employees and also from employers. This will generate 235 million euros in additional funds.
