The senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) will meet this Monday (8) with presidents of right-wing and center parties in search of support for his candidacy for Palácio do Planalto in 2026.
Son of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), Flávio by his own father as his successor. When announcing his intention to run for President, however, the senator unified support from Centrão.
This Monday’s meeting, according to Flávio, will be attended by the presidents Valdemar Costa Netofrom PL (Liberal Party); Antonio Ruedafrom União Brasil; and Ciro Nogueirafrom the PP (Progressives). The president of the Republicans, deputy Marcos Pereirawas also invited.
According to Flávio, the current political moment aims to show “who is loyal to Brazil” and this, according to him, involves supporting his name in the dispute in next year’s election.
At the meeting, which will also be attended by Rogério Marinho (PL-RN)leader of the opposition in the Senate, Flávio must also return to defend the advancement of the amnesty bill in the National Congress.
