Dino orders PF to investigate new irregularities in Pix amendments

Minister Flávio Dino, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), ordered this Monday (8) that the Federal Police (PF) investigate new irregularities in the transfer of individual amendments by parliamentarians, known as “Pix amendments”.

The measure was determined after the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU) sent to the Supreme Court an audit report requested by the minister, who is the rapporteur of the action that deals with transparency in the application of resources arising from amendments.

According to the CGU, new irregularities were found in the amendments sent to 20 municipalities that received the most transfers in 2024. The total value of the amendments is R$72.3 million.

For the minister, serious irregularities remain in the monitoring of resources, in the rendering of accounts and in the purchase of goods and services with the money from the amendments.

“Such sample audits seem to indicate the persistence of a generalized situation of illegalities, with a serious affront to the STF’s decisions on a topic as relevant as the use of tens of billions of reais from the Union Budget,” said Dino.

In the same decision, Flávio Dino also determined that the CGU must present an amendment audit plan for the year 2026. The plan must contain the mapping of the country’s five regions and identify expenses in critical areas in the event of deviations, such as health and asphalting.

After the retirement of Minister Rosa Weber, the original rapporteur of the case, Flávio Dino took over the management of the case.

In February of this year, Dino approved the work plan in which Congress committed to identifying the deputies and senators responsible for amendments to the Budget and the beneficiaries of the transfers.

The minister’s decision also released payment for amendments from this year and previous years that were suspended by Court decisions.
