Senator reports that his father watched the governor’s position on open TV in custody and guarantees family and political cohesion for the future
In a statement to the press after visiting the former president, the senator (PL-RJ) stated that his father asked to convey his thanks to the governor of , (Republicans). According to the parliamentarian, Bolsonaro followed Tarcísio’s statements of support on television in prison.
“He asked to thank Governor Tarcísio for his speech, which he was able to follow here on television, as he has access to open TV,” said Flávio. The senator reinforced the alliance with the governor of São Paulo, highlighting that the political group will be “closer than ever”.
During the interview, Flávio also discussed his relationship with the former first lady. The senator dismissed rumors of internal disagreements and assured that their relationship is positive. “There’s no point in trying to divide us, there’s no way. We’re going to be together”, said Flávio. He highlighted that both he and his father recognize Michelle’s merit in gaining credibility among female and evangelical audiences.
Regarding the next steps in defense and political articulation, the senator adopted a tone of resilience. “Let’s go back, let’s move forward”, he stated, mentioning that he is already in contact with experts and strategic people, following suggestions given by his father himself during the visit. The objective, according to him, is to ensure that they have “the right people” at the former president’s side from now on.
