The senator (-RJ) visited, this Tuesday (9), the former president (PL) at the Federal Police superintendence in , where the former president has been imprisoned since November 22nd.
Upon leaving the venue, Flávio reaffirmed that his candidacy for Palácio do Planalto “is priceless” and that he will look for leaders from the center to build support for his name.
He met on Monday night (8) with the presidents of the PP, Ciro Nogueira (PI), and União Brasil, Antonio Rueda.
“I asked them for support from the first moment and obviously they will talk to their bases, carry out the analyses”, declared the senator.
This is Bolsonaro’s first meeting with his eldest son since announcing his pre-candidacy for the Presidency — the former president is ineligible. The parliamentarian arrived at the scene around 8:50 am.
The visit was authorized by the minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) Alexandre de Moraes. Visits to Bolsonaro, convicted in the coup plot process, must be made on Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 9 am and 11 am.
Flávio, who had threatened to give up, backtracked and stated that his candidacy is irreversible. “It’s irreversible. My candidacy is not for sale.”
Jair Bolsonaro’s son also said that his surname is an advantage over the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), who until then was the preferred candidate of most of the political class to represent Bolsonarism in 2026.
