Christmas Eve salad it is rich in various ingredients, it does not contain meat, so you can serve it with fish, dumplings or other festive dishes served on the Christmas Eve table. Boiled eggs go perfectly with expressive onions and leeks, crispy peppers, sour pickled cucumbers, aromatic dill, and sweet apples. The whole thing is combined with mayonnaise and mustard sauce. Such a salad can stay on the table all evening and diversify the Christmas Eve menu.
To prepare this recipe, you will need:
- 4 hard-boiled eggs,
- 1 per,
- 1 onion,
- 3 pickled cucumbers,
- 1 red pepper,
- 1 green pepper,
- 2 apples,
- 1/2 bunch of dill,
- 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise,
- 2 teaspoons of mustard,
- juice of 1/2 lemon,
- salt and pepper to taste.
Cut the onion into small cubes and do the same with the white and light green parts of the leek.
Clean and chop the peppers. Drain the pickled cucumbers well and cut them into cubes.
Peel the apples, divide them into smaller parts and then grate them. Immediately sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent them from darkening.
Cut the eggs into cubes.
Finely chop the dill. Mix mayonnaise and mustard in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
Mix all vegetables and eggs in a large bowl. Add the prepared sauce and mix gently. Taste and season with salt or pepper if necessary.
