Mass nausea at school: 37 children and two adults were hospitalized!

In the West Hungarian town of Nagykanizsa, 37 children and two adults were taken from the local school to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon due to cough and nausea. According to the MTI agency, the spokesman of the National Rescue Service (OMF) Pál Győrfi said that the symptoms of those hospitalized later improved, reports TASR correspondent in Budapest.

The spokesperson specified that due to the mass occurrence of symptoms, 14 ambulances and a rescue helicopter were sent to the scene. The paramedics took her to the local hospital and to the hospital in Zalaegerszeg 37 children and two adults to observe. 20 children were transported to Zalaegerszeg by bus accompanied by an ambulance.

Zsolt Kósi, the spokesperson of the Directorate of Civil Protection of the Zalian capital, said that laboratory measurements of the school’s premises did not show the presence of any toxic substances. The building was ventilated, no further intervention was necessary, writes MTI. The case is being investigated by the police.
