Rotterdam – Austria’s women’s handball national team was denied a sense of success at the end of the World Cup. The ÖHB selection, which was severely weakened due to injuries, lost 30:35 on Monday in the last group game of the main round against Poland in Rotterdam after an 18:17 half-time lead. Promotion was no longer possible before the game started. Austria finished Group 3 of the main round in fourth place with two points and the World Cup with a top 16 place.
