Godilac
12 48 kWh towers and a 25 kW DC charger. In just 2 hours, a commercial vehicle is charged.
A pioneering energy production and storage project has been implemented in Santo Tirso.
It is the first system in the Iberian Peninsula of 1 MWh storage driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The system integrates a photovoltaic power plant 320 kWpequipped with state-of-the-art N-type cellswith unit power of 605 Wp and efficiency of 24%.
It has an advanced storage system 1 MWh, with 12 48 kWh towers and a 25 kW DC charger – capable of performing fast uploads (in just 1 hour for forklifts and 2 hours for commercial vehicles, for example).
Thanks to AI, the solution 5-em-1 monitors and optimizes, in real time, the balance between production, consumption and storage, ensuring maximum energy use and stable and efficient operation, reads a statement sent to ZAP.
The innovation comes from Goldbreak, a Portuguese company specialized in energy storage and production; was implemented at Godilac, a company in Santo Tirso that treats and lacquers aluminum and steel profiles.
With this system, Godilac now has a energy autonomy of 77.39%, an annual reduction of 71.46 tons of CO₂ and energy savings of close to 46 thousand euros per year.
With modular and scalable technology, the system can grow up to 3 MWh.
The surplus energy produced by the photovoltaic plant is stored and used in times of greatest need; promotes energy stability, reduced operating costs and resilience of the industrial electrical system.
