Alexandre de Moraes orders Rodrigo Bacellar released

President of Alerj will have to wear an electronic ankle bracelet and retire at night

Moraes ordered that the state deputy be removed from office during his investigation

Minister Alexandre de Moraes ordered the release this Tuesday (9) of Rodrigo Bacellar, president of Alerj and accused of leaking information about the operation that arrested TH Joias. The Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro had already voted in favor of revoking Bacellar’s arrest. Moraes ordered that the state deputy be removed from office during his investigation.

It also determined that Bacellar must retire at night, from 7pm to 6am on weekdays, and fully on weekends. He is prohibited from communicating with the others being investigated, must surrender his passports and will have his licenses to carry a firearm suspended. In addition, he will use an electronic ankle bracelet for monitoring.
