Who is Andrés Gudiño?
Born on January 27, 1997, in Mérida, Yucatán (Mexico), Andrés Gudiño is 28 years old and plays as a goalkeeper, measuring 1.83m. His career in professional football began in the youth categories: in 2013–2014 he played for Pioneros de Cancún; then, in 2015, he signed with Venados FC.
In 2017, he made his first professional loan, with Inter Playa del Carmen, where he played 8 matches, marking his football debut. In 2018 he transferred to Cruz Azul’s youth teams and went to Cruz Azul Hidalgo in the Mexican second division, a kind of Cruz Azul’s B team. There, he gained playing minutes and accumulated experience.
Over time, his performance at Cruz Azul Hidalgo caught attention, and Gudiño began to be integrated into Cruz Azul’s main squad. He reached the main team in 2019. To guarantee experience and playing time, he had some loans: in 2022 he played for Tepatitlán FC, where he started 16 games.
Since then, he has been gaining opportunities in the blue club’s first team, and with the recent injury of regular starter, Kevin Mier, Gudiño took over the goal and will be the goalkeeper who will play in the duel against Flamengo.
