Beňová excites Slovak mothers: You will be surprised by what 5-year-old Lea can do!

Monika Beňová (55) has been a non-stop member of the European Parliament for the SMER party since 2004. For years he balances between his working life in Strasbourg and his family background in Bratislava. Especially because of my little daughter Leia (5) she often adjusts her busy schedule, but she also takes care of her older son Martin (37).

In private, she went through several relationships. Her first husband was sports journalist Martin Beňo, with whom she has a son and who died in 2004. Two years later, she married Fedor Flašík. The marriage lasted eleven years. In 2020, she surprised with the news that she is expecting a child with her partner, lawyer Ľubomír Klč, who is 16 years her junior.

Although she devotes herself fully to her work, motherhood sometimes interferes with her work duties, especially when Lea is ill. On normal days, a Brazilian nanny helps with care. Since maternity leave in the European Parliament lasts only six months, Beňová was paradoxically lucky in her misfortune and was able to work online thanks to the pandemic. She stayed at home with her daughter until her first birthday.

The little girl has already grown up a lot, and Beňová boasted on social media about how clever Lea is. “Well, I think it’s a nice read for a 5-year-old. Only the cold “spoils” it a bit” she wrote on a video of her daughter reading a book. You can see how the little girl is reading in the video above the article.
