Vila Real de Santo António hosts next Sunday, December 14th, starting at 10:30 am, another edition of the VRSA Giant King Cake, an event that brings together the population, partners and local institutions in a moment marked by sharing and community spirit.
According to the municipality, this initiative “is part of a program that combines animation, tradition and a strong solidarity component”.

The Christmas delicacy will be 70 meters long and weigh 275 kilos, being made by the “A Padaria” team, under the direction of chef Filipe Martins. The Municipality highlights that the process involves “true teamwork”, noting that “eight pastry chefs dedicated three whole days to ensure all the details, sweetening the Christmas spirit of whoever was present”.
The morning will be livened up by the Choral Ensemble and the Guitar Class from the Regional Conservatory of Vila Real de Santo António, contributing to the festive atmosphere that characterizes the event. Santa Claus from Vila Natal de VRSA will also be present to entertain children and families.

The Vila Real de Santo António and Castro Marim Firefighter Cadets and Infantry will play an active role in delivering the cake to the community and collecting donations, reinforcing the solidarity dimension associated with the initiative. The VRSA Hotel and Tourism School will join efforts with the organization, involving different generations and entities in the municipality.
For , the Bolo-Rei Gigante of Vila Real de Santo António asserts itself, year after year, as “a moment of proximity, coexistence and community involvement, reinforcing the connection between local institutions and the population”.
