Denver/Houston – The US Energy Agency (EIA) has raised its forecast for domestic oil production for the current year. For 2025 it now expects a record average of 13.61 million barrels per day (bpd), 20,000 more than before. However, the authority lowered its forecast for 2026 by 50,000 to 13.53 million bpd. At the same time, expected oil demand for 2025 will increase by 100,000 to 20.6 million bpd, while the EIA expects stagnation for 2026. The price for the US reference variety WT will be an average of $65.32 per barrel in 2025, and for the North Sea Brent variety it will be $68.91.
