Mayors meet to discuss education challenges – 12/10/2025 – Panel

Mayors of Brazilian capitals will meet this Thursday (11) to discuss challenges and paths forward in an event organized by the organization Todos pela Educação.

The program includes debates and the presentation of examples of policies that have transformed municipal education networks.

Confirmed presences on the panels are the Minister of Education, (PT), the president of the Chamber of Deputies, (Republicanos-PB), and the president of the PSD and Secretary of Government of São Paulo, .

“The meeting seeks to reinforce the importance of collaboration between the federation’s entities, especially the capitals and cities with more than 500 thousand inhabitants, which in addition to having a significant portion of Brazilian enrollments, have high technical-political capital”, says the executive president of Todos Pela Educação, Priscila Cruz.

Among the mayors who will present experiences from their administrations are Ricardo Nunes (MDB), from São Paulo; Bruno Reis (União Brasil), from Salvador; David Almeida (Avante), from Manaus; Eduardo Braide (PSD), from São Luís; Eduardo Pimentel (PSD), from Curitiba; Sandro Mabel (União), from Goiânia and Weverson Meireles (PDT), from Serra (ES).
