Citizens of 42 countries will have to disclose the history of the last five years on their social networks to visit , even if they are covered by a visa exemption agreement. Action is part of the government’s new proposals.
The Department of Homeland Security reported this Wednesday (10) that candidates entering American territory under the visa waiver program must add social networks as a “required data element”.
There may also be changes to the technology underpinning the application process, including requiring a selfie in addition to passport photos.
