Flamengo is keeping an eye on the market in search of news for next season and is targeting Internacional player Vitão. According to “Uol”, the Rio club offered R$31.6 million as a down payment, in addition to forgiving the Gauchos’ debt for the acquisition of Thiago Maia, in March 2024, for R$21.6 million. However, Inter denied the deal.

How much value does Internacional want to sell Vitão?
Inter denied it as they considered the offer low. The club’s counter-proposal is R$75.8 million for 80% of the defender’s economic rights.
Flamengo is still evaluating the possibility. The signing of Vitão is considered a priority by the technical committee, which seeks to increase the squad’s competitiveness, however, the club did not think about exceeding R$63.2 million at first.
Vitão is one of the main players in the Inter squad, who saved themselves from Series B in the last round of the Brasileirão. The contract with the club runs until the end of 2026, but the player could already sign a pre-contract from July.
The defender came into the Palmeiras academy and was sold to Shakhtar Donetsk, from Ukraine, in 2019, after playing just one game for the professional team. At the time, the Ukrainians paid around €4 million (approximately R$18 million) for 60% of the athlete’s rights.
