Voting in plenary did not reach an absolute majority of 257 voters in favor of the impeachment; opinion will be archived
The Chamber of Deputies maintained this Thursday (11) the mandate of the federal deputy (PL-SP). There were 227 votes in favor of the impeachment, below the absolute majority of 257 necessary to approve the opinion against the parliamentarian.
170 deputies voted against the revocation of the mandate. There were 10 abstentions. Now, the opinion will be archived.

The decision of the Chamber plenary contradicts the court decision. The Board of Directors was informed by the Supreme Court that Zambelli’s conviction also includes the additional penalty of loss of office in the Lower House of the National Congress.
During his defense speech, Zambelli’s lawyer, Fabio Pagnozzi, denied that she “committed or ordered an invasion of the CNJ”. “This defense requested access to the evidence from the minister on several occasions [do STF] but they never reached my hands, as did the counter-evidence, which is the deputy’s cell phone, so that I could see what it contained”, he explained.
The lawyer also cited in his statement the process previously analyzed by the federal deputy’s impeachment plenary (Psol-RJ). Pagnozzi said that, if he held a position in the Chamber, he would not vote for the parliamentarian to lose his mandate.
