Kassab defends Tarcísio and rules out alliance with Flávio – 12/11/2025 – Power

The president of , , defended that the current governor of , (Republicans), run for President in 2026, even in the face of the candidacy of (PL), and indicated that a national alliance with Jair Bolsonaro’s son should not happen in the first round.

“I still understand that Tarcísio is the best candidate for Brazil”, he said this Thursday (11), during a Todos pela Educação event, in Brasília.

“I wish him good luck [Flávio]that he can have a good campaign. But the PSD has always had its position very clear. The PSD has decided to support Tarcísio if he is a candidate. And if he is not a candidate, we have two pre-candidates within the party, he added in reference to Ratinho Júnior, from Paraná, and Eduardo Leite, from Rio Grande do Sul.

Current secretary of government relations in the Tarcísio government, Kassab said this Wednesday that he would dedicate himself to next year’s relations.

This Thursday, he discussed the possibility of supporting the re-election of the president (PT).

“Not even in the second round will the party close the issue. But, as I believe that our candidate will go to the second round, […] so I think our candidate will face Lula in the second round”, he said.

Since announcing that he intends to run for president with the support of the former president and now ineligible (PL), at the beginning of the month, Flávio has not received support from any other major right-wing party.
