
In Denmark, postmen will no longer be postmen. This is because they will stop delivering letters and postcards and focus solely on parcels. 1500 people will be left without a job. It is the first European country to adopt such a measure.

“A PostNord will deliver its last letter in Denmark at the end of 2025 and, from 2026, will concentrate its activity on a single central service: parcels”, announced the company, in .

This decision by PostNord was explained by the fact that, over the last 25 years, the volume of letters delivered fell by 90%.
In addition to this, in 2024, the postal market was opened to private users, which caused prices to rise and traditional mail sending to fall by 30%.
The historic post boxes will now be mere museum pieces.
