The proposal of three institutions is born from a simple and profound desire: to create encounters that make a difference for those going through difficult treatment and, at the same time, offer a new horizon to dogs that were once left behind.
The initiative brings together two worlds that carry stories of courage, and brings rescued animals face to face who rediscover, together, the meaning of care.
The first chapter of this action will be written on December 12th, starting at 2pm, at the Pediatrics of the ACCamargo Cancer Center, in the Liberdade neighborhood, central region of São Paulo.
Ali, elderly dogs, Without a defined race or with specific needs, many of them ignored for a long time, will arrive at the hospital already prepared to offer presence, affection and welcome. In addition to participating in the visits, they will also be there, making space for new homes and new stories.
Partnership and dog training
Behind this initiative are Petlove, Instituto Caramelo and ACCamargo Cancer Center, who joined forces to turn the idea into reality.
For weeks, the dogs underwent preparation led by the Caramelo Institutelearning to feel safe, socialize and deal with different stimuli. The entire process followed protocols defined by the hospital, ensuring that the visit goes smoothly for the pets and children.
Among the participants is Amendoim, known for, who leads the group of therapy dogs. His trajectory, marked by a past of little visibility and a present of reunions, symbolizes what the project seeks to promote: new chances.
Throughout December, the campaign continues in Petlove networksexpanding the reach of these animals and their chances of adoption.
