This is a real culinary hit. Few people know it, but a strong black tea infusion perfectly softens meat fibers, making pork or beef exceptionally tender and full of flavor. Once you try making this marinade, you will definitely come back to it.
What do most people think is the best meat? Of course soft and juicy. If you want this effect, prepare a unique black tea-based marinade before grilling or baking. Many people are surprised at first, but this idea really works great.
If you want to try it, start by brewing an infusion of 4 tablespoons (or 5 bags) of black tea and 250 ml of water. When the tea cools down slightly, add 1/3 cup of brown sugar – it will balance the flavor and make the meat slightly caramelize.
Don’t forget about your favorite spices too. This may include, among others: garlic, thyme, basil, pepper or coriander – it depends on personal preferences. Don’t forget to add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice – this ingredient will perfectly enhance the taste. Tea meat marinade is ready.
Okay, but how to marinate meat in tea? Fortunately, it’s not complicated.
Start by cleaning the meat and cutting it into the pieces you need. Place them in a bowl and pour the marinade over them so that they are completely covered. If there is not enough liquid, don’t worry – you can add some water.
Marinate the meat in the tea for at least 3-4 hours, but of course you can count on the best results if you leave it marinated in the fridge overnight. This will allow the tea and spices to penetrate in such a way that the meat is not only tender, but also very aromatic.
Remove the meat from the refrigerator about 2 hours before baking or grilling so that it is at room temperature. This will guarantee even processing.
