The shocking experience of a world-famous Slovak model: She was thrown out of a taxi in the middle of an intersection!

The well-known model with Canadian-Slovak roots, Miriam Mattová (33), was to become the target of open Jewish discrimination. The former Miss Slovakia experienced a very humiliating experience in Toronto, Canada. The whole situation is already being handled by lawyer Howard Levitt, who told more about the whole situation.

The incident should have happened on November 30. Matt’s friend used a mobile app where people can order a ride from a driver, similar to a taxi, but it works through private drivers. The girls went to Miriam’s friend’s house. During the trip, the former missionary called another friend, to whom she told about her experiences from a recent trip to Israel.

In the middle of the road, the Muslim driver should have stopped the car suddenly and told Matt to get out of the car. The beauty asked her what was going on, to which her wife said that she did not feel well when Miriam was in the car. “I asked why, because I still didn’t understand the situation, and then the driver answered me that they don’t drive Jews“, she described the situation.

The model did not hesitate for a minute. “At that moment, I decided to get out of the car, not out of fear, but out of a clear decision. When someone reveals open discrimination, there is no reason to stay in this space.” he thinks. Matt called another taxi and returned home. The next day, she decided to file a complaint on the company’s mobile app. Her friend who ordered the taxi also filed a complaint.

The answer did not come immediately. “The company responded with a phone call saying they would refund my money. I wanted it to be clear that there was more to this situation than just the fare and that the incident I experienced was a blatant display of anti-Semitism,” she said forcefully. The blonde wondered if the driver would be fired from the company, to which they replied that they could not give her an answer. In subsequent correspondence, the company stated that they had communicated with the driver, but did not provide any additional information.

“When they called, they just wanted to ask if she had an accident, as if they were calling her from the insurance company. That’s all they were interested in, not the racism of the driver.” Miriam’s lawyer Levitt said. The blonde sent a letter to the company demanding that every driver’s contract stipulate that there can be no discrimination, basing these clauses on human rights grounds including religion and race.

Levitt confirmed that if the company does not respond, it will file a human rights complaint with the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal. Matt said that since she reported the incident on social media, dozens of people have reached out to her saying they’ve experienced similar incidents. which should also have been reported to the company, but received no response.

Mattová reminds that she does not want to make money from the incident, but if she gets any, she will donate it all to a charity organization based in Israel. In addition, he is demanding the dismissal of the driver and a formal apology to her and the Jewish community in general.

For Miriam, such an incident is all the more bitter because her grandmother survived the Holocaust. “My family’s history strongly shapes my views. My grandmother survived a concentration camp, which reminds me of the need to remember these events, to ensure that such hatred never happens again. We must remain vigilant against anti-Semitism and all forms of hatred. That’s why I do it. That’s my main reason,” she revealed.
