In the first week of the (PL-SP) presidential movement, which and under skepticism from the market and politics, the senator tried to quell distrust about his candidacy, made retreats in speeches and sought to explain scandals that involved his name.

Under penalty of not being taken seriously, Flávio went back and, the next day, stated that his candidacy was irreversible. The senator explained that his price, the total pardon for Bolsonaro and the reversal of the former president’s ineligibility, probably should not be fulfilled until the election and, therefore, the Bolsonaro in the ballot box would be himself.
In the interview, he said he was just playing on words. “I played with words to talk about price, but the condition is: Bolsonaro has to be free and at the polls,” he stated.
After politicians, even from parties allied to the PL, pointed out Flávio’s low electoral viability and rejection of the Bolsonaro family as Flávio’s disadvantages, the senator bet on tactics to distance himself from the main scandals involving his name.
Two videos published on his YouTube channel last week provide the senator’s version of scandals that, once a candidate, must be explored by opponents —aea in Brasília. The videos feature excerpts from Flávio’s interviews and podcasts in which he explains the two cases.

In the field of politics, Flávio’s name achieved the feat of unifying the Bolsonaro family, but also received criticism for detaching the PL from the plan of central parties, such as , , Republicans and PSD. In an adjustment of course, the senator has said that he will seek the center and that his candidacy will be based on a lot of conversation.
A first effort in this direction, however, was unsuccessful. Only the presidents of the PP, , and União Brasil, Antônio de Rueda, attended a dinner at the senator’s house on Monday (8).
