Salzburg – The major construction project of the Salzburg Festival with the renovation of the existing building and expansion of the Great Festival Hall remains on track, although the specified costs of 395 million euros must be adhered to in any case. It is also being examined whether, by moving individual work steps to the off-season, it would be possible for the Great Festival Hall to only have to be closed for one year instead of the planned two years. This was the result of a meeting of the board of trustees on Friday.
