The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) decided this Friday (12) to remove from the INSS CPMI the documents relating to “breach of telematic, banking and tax secrecy” of . The magistrate ordered that the information be under the supervision of the president of the Senate, (União Brasil-AP) “until further deliberation” by the Court.

In a note sent to the press, the minister stated that the decision was taken “as a precautionary measure”.

He also said that the Central Bank and the Federal Revenue Service were requested to forward the information collected to the STF “for future analysis of the merits”.

The INSS CPMI approved, on December 4, and the breach of banking and telematic secrecy. According to the commission’s request, the subpoena to the owner of Banco Master was “necessary” to provide “clarifications regarding the institution’s role in offering financial products to retirees and pensioners, including payroll loans”.
