A former Trump security adviser, firm on the war situation: "It is a mistake for Ukraine to make concessions"

Former US national security adviser John Bolton has said he believes it would be a mistake for Ukraine to make concessions in the context of war, warning that now is not the time for the West to seek agreements that favor Russia.

He did so in an interview with Gavin Lee of FRANCE 24, where Bolton has stated that I doubted the motivations of the American president, in relation to the conflict, suggesting that he is more concerned about winning the Nobel Prize than about peace.

“I don’t think [el presidente estadounidense] Donald Trump is really motivated by the national security interests of the United States, nor by NATO, nor by Ukrainian interests,” he stressed. “I think he wants the Nobel Peace Prize; I think he has had it in mind since his first term,” he added.

On the other hand, the former official has also indicated that the Russian president trusts that the passage of time play in your favor. “Putin believes that time is on his side. This is not the time for the United States or Europe to give up and say ‘let’s get the best deal possible,'” Bolton added during the interview.
