The minister of the (Federal Supreme Court) authorized former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to receive a doctor to perform an ultrasound examination. The decision was taken this Friday (12).
“Visits by the sentenced person’s doctors, duly registered, do not require prior communication, observing the legal and judicial determinations previously established”, says the order. The ultrasound was requested this Thursday (11).
Bolsonaro’s lawyers asked last Tuesday (9) for authorization for him to leave the Superintendence of the Federal Police of Brasília, where he is being held, for.
According to the defense, the former president needs surgery for hiccups and hernia, which would require immediate hospitalization lasting 5 to 7 days. Given this, Moraes ordered an expert examination to assess the need for the procedure.
