At least 2 people die and 8 are injured in shooting at Brown University in the USA

At least two people were killed and eight were injured in critical but stable condition in the shooting that took place this Saturday, the 13th, at Brown University, said the mayor of the city of Providence, Brett Smiley.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, published on Truth Social that the suspected shooter is in custody and that the FBI is on site. “God bless the victims and the families of the victims!” Trump said in the post.

Brown University issued an active shooter alert and asked students and staff to take shelter – the attack took place in the institution’s Engineering building.

Police did not immediately release details about the number of victims, their conditions or the circumstances of the shooting.
