Fog with visibility of 50 to 200 meters can form on the territory of the entire Slovak Republic also on Sunday. Meteorologists issued a level one alert for all districts. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) informed about it on the website. “The occurrence of fog with the above visibility is common at the given time of year and areas, but can cause minor damage,” he pointed out.
According to him, the reduced visibility represents a potential danger for traffic activities. The Slovak Road Administration (SSC) also warned of the fog on its website zjazdnost.sk. “Fog with visibility up to 100 meters limits the visibility of drivers in Pastierske, Štrba, Východná and Dovalovo locations,” warned road workers. They also warned of icy conditions on the Vrchslatina mountain pass.
