The boy was kidnapped and held in a cottage
“Unfortunately, we have to state that the story of the boy who was found is not as idyllic as it seemed at first glance. The information available so far indicates that he was kidnapped and held in a cottage,” the police said on the X platform.
“We detained one adult man and are now investigating what happened at the cottage. Fortunately, passers-by heard the boy’s cry for help and called us. They may have saved his life,” the police added.
They have been looking for the boy since Thursday
It is not yet clear how long he was there and how long he tried to escape. Police and volunteers have been looking for the boy since Thursday.
However, according to the police, it cannot be ruled out that the boy had been at the cottage since Thursday morning, as he did not get on the bus that was supposed to take him to school. He disappeared somewhere on the way from his house to the bus stop, which is about a kilometer away.
No details about the male suspect or his motives were immediately available. “Due to the age of the victim, we will only provide as much information as necessary,” the police concluded.
