Damascus – The attacker who killed two US soldiers and a translator in Syria on Saturday was, according to Syrian security circles, a member of the official Syrian security forces. “The attacker had been a member of the Interior Ministry’s general security department for over ten months,” an employee of the Syrian security forces said on Sunday. The attacker had worked in other cities before his deployment in Palmyra.
