Last summer, the singer Miro Jaroš received the most painful blow in his life. His beloved mother died. The cancer was already incurable, Ms. Štefánia († 69) breathed her last surrounded by her family. He talked about how the king of children’s hits coped with the loss of the most important woman in his life in a podcast.
The sample was shared by the artist on his social network. “Questions keep coming back to mom. I think I will always miss him. When sadness comes to me, I remember gratitude. And that helps me” Jaroš wrote to the video.
In the interview, the former superstar emphasized that one must accept this loss and live on. “Of course, it surprises us and hurts us, if it is a close person, but I heard such a nice sentence that if we miss someone in our life, it is actually a beautiful business card that we had a good relationship. And it’s worth it” he thinks.
He added that many people are divided and cannot find their way back together. He sees it even in families. “They argue all the time. No one can take the first step to reconcile. People think that and I will not forgive him because they want to punish someone. But ultimately we forgive to help ourselves, to relieve ourselves. No, because we want to please someone,Jaroš added.
According to the singer, some things are in our hands and we can influence them, but the death of a loved one is not one of them. The way to deal with it is through acceptance. “Unfortunately, we cannot control the fact that someone dies. We have to accept it and be grateful,” he advised.
He himself is grateful for having known his mother for many years. “She was a great woman. Now she lives on through me. When I look in the mirror, I see her, I feel her and I’m glad that she’s still a part of me,” he said openly.
Jaroš believes that his mother looks down on him and is proud. “The pastor also told me one nice thing. I had a stage where I was angry, how could God allow this and so on. The parish priest explained to me that Miro, ever since I knew your mother, she used to come here for confession regularly. She basically lived her whole life so that she could get into the kingdom of heaven. And she is already there. So what she saw as the meaning of living and being came true for her. It also gave me such a different look at things,” he confided in the interview.
