O Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde won the Dentil Praia Clube this Sunday (14) and won bronze in the Women’s Volleyball Club World Cup.
At the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu gym, Osasco won by 3 sets to 0, with partials 25/20, 28/26 and 25/19. Opposite Bianca Cugno was the game’s top scorer with 21 points scored.
With this, the team returned to the World Cup podium after 11 years – the last medal was silver in 2014. The São Paulo club is the only Brazilian club that has won the World Club Championship this century (2012). This was also the first medal for a Brazilian club since Minas won silver in 2018.
The final of the competition will also be played this Sunday (14), at Pacaembu, between the Italians Savino Del Bene Scandicci and Imoco Volley Conegliano. The teams face each other at 4:30 pm (Brasília time).
