Among the most frequent reasons for these proposals are the “use of false or fraudulent documents, situations of obtaining the title through misleading statements, as well as cases in which conduct is identified that is incompatible with the rules associated with legal permanence in national territory”, according to the PSP.
The Public Security Police (PSP) has already put forward more than a thousand proposals to cancel residence permits, resulting from actions at Lisbon airport, since the beginning of the year, according to what was advanced this Sunday.
These proposals were made within the scope of border control actions, under the responsibility of the National Unit for Foreigners and Borders (UNEF), and through the Division of Airport Security and Border Control (DSACF), at Humberto Delgado Airport, in Lisbon, explains the PSP, in a statement.
Proposals to cancel residence permits are sent to AIMA – Agency for Integration, Migrations and Asylum, which is responsible for the administrative decision.
Among the most frequent reasons for these proposals are the “use of false or fraudulent documents, situations of obtaining the title through misleading statements, as well as cases in which conduct is identified that is incompatible with the rules associated with legal permanence in national territory”, according to the PSP.
The entity highlights, in this review of the work carried out in border control, the “strengthening of detection capacity, the improvement of verification procedures and cooperation between the PSP and AIMA”.
