Risk of poverty has decreased in Portugal, but still affects more than 15% of the population

Although the elderly are the most affected (17.8% are poor), they also represent the group in which there is a greater reduction in the risk of poverty (minus 3.3 percentage points), driven by the increase in income from old-age pensions.
