Greater São Paulo dawned, for the fifth consecutive daywith around 160 thousand properties without electricity this Sunday (14). Residents have suffered from a lack of electricity since Tuesday (9), when an extratropical cyclone hit the state.
In a note sent to CNN Brazil on Saturday (13), the electricity concessionaire Enel stated that he will restore supply to affected customers in São Paulo by the end of this Sunday (14). This morning, the company informed that the deadline is maintained.
Since Monday (8), there have been records more than 1,600 calls for falling trees, which contributed to power outages in several locations. In the region supplied by the company, around 2.2 million customers were left without electricity on the 10th and 11th, considered the peaks of the crisis.
According to Enel, there are certain regions where restoration is more complex as it involves the reconstruction of the network, replacement of poles, transformers and, in some cases, the rerouting of kilometric cables.

Customers protest
Residents from different regions of Greater São Paulo carried out protests against Enel between last Friday (12) and Saturday (13). On Saturday, 350,000 customers were still without power.
Images show citizens of Bixiga, in the central region of São Paulo, on a march through the neighborhood. In the video, the group walks through the streets of the region, which is affected by a lack of energy.
Customers reported to CNN Brazil who contacted Enel from the initial moments of the power outage, but the company, however, . Furthermore, many were affected by the lack of water.
A resident also said that, accounting for at least R$900.00.
