The last broadcast with Oľga Feldeková († 82): Something happened that Vacvalová will never forget

The other Saturday was extremely sad for the fans of the legendary novelist Oľga Feldeková († 82). Her body, weakened by illness and injuries, could no longer fight. The first lady of satire left quietly, surrounded by close family. The last farewell to her was on Saturday, December 13 at 12:15 in the Bratislava crematorium.

Oľga’s death affected the whole of Slovakia, so JOJ TV decided to broadcast a special show Sedem dedicated to this rare personality. The presenter and friend of Feldekova, Elena Vacvalová, first had to swallow her tears and suppress her fears.

“We recorded this year’s last Sedmička, which is also without Mrs. Olinka Feldeková. I admit that I was quite afraid of it and tried to get into a position to handle it comfortably as she would have liked. That is, absolutely with insight and with everything that regularly belongs to this session. I’m happy that it really worked out. And that the audience in the auditorium also understood it this way. We had to have fun ‘at her expense’. I can’t imagine that she would wish for anything else. Or, God forbid, some sadness,” said presenter Elena Vacvalová after filming.

One moment is deeply etched in her memory and she will never forget what happened in the studio. Behind it are the remaining glossators, who pleasantly surprised Elena. “I’m sorry that I was the only one from the old ‘seven’ guard there. But our youth also found a way to remember Olinka. They didn’t spend as many years with her as I did – so I was very, very pleased and surprised. I hope that the audience will have the same feeling from this, not to mention Olinka.” added Vacvalová.
