Who is Adilson Barroso, deputy who takes over Zambelli’s seat in the Chamber

Deputy has already held a parliamentary mandate; Since November, he has been a substitute

. “The Chamber of Deputies informs that the Deputy (PL-SP) communicated to the General Secretariat of the Board of its resignation from the parliamentary mandate today”, says the letter.

“As a result, the President of the Chamber of Deputies ordered the summons of the substitute, Deputies Adilson Barroso (PL-SP), to take office”, he added.

Born in , already held a parliamentary mandate. He was a councilor in Barrinha, in the interior of São Paulo, in 1988 – at the age of 23 – and was re-elected in 1992. From 1997 to 2002 he was deputy mayor, and in 2002 he was elected state deputy for Prona, a position he held until 2010. He then only returned to office in 2016, when he entered the Barrinha City Council.

Since 2021, when he was removed from the presidency of Patrioto, he has been affiliated with the Liberal Party (PL) of São Paulo and was the first deputy in the state for the PL to have obtained more than 62 thousand votes.

“Right-wing Bolsonaro, conservative, Patriot, friend of President Jair Bolsonaro, Michele Bolsonaro, Nikolas Ferreira”, is how Adilson calls himself on social media. Between 2023 and 2025 he was in the position of Guilherme Derrite (PP-SP), when the deputy took leave to take over the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat.

Since November, Barroso had been a substitute, because Derrite took over the role again.
